Return & Refund Policy

Custom furniture is made for one space and one client, which makes “returns” work differently than in a shop. This page sets out plainly what you can expect from Brew Studio Interiors Sdn. Bhd. when something needs to be cancelled, corrected or refunded.
Cancelling an order
You may cancel free of charge at any point before you approve the final drawings — any deposit is refunded in full within fourteen days. After drawing approval, materials are ordered and workshop time is booked, so cancellation incurs the actual costs committed to that point: typically 20–30% of the contract value in the first week of fabrication, rising as the build progresses. Once fabrication is complete, the piece is yours and the contract cannot be cancelled, though delivery can be postponed by agreement.
If something arrives wrong
Inspect the work with our installers at handover. If an item does not match the approved drawings — wrong dimension, wrong finish, wrong configuration — we rework or rebuild it at our own cost and on priority scheduling. This is not a favour; it is the contract. If a defect is discovered after handover, report it within seven days with photos and we treat it the same way.
Refunds
Where rework is impossible or fails twice, you may choose between a replacement build or a refund for the affected item. Approved refunds are paid by bank transfer within fourteen days to the account that made the original payment. We do not offer refunds for change of mind after fabrication, or for natural variation in wood grain and colour as described in our Terms & Conditions.
Five-year workmanship warranty
For five years from installation we repair, at no charge, failures of our workmanship under normal use: joints opening, doors sagging, drawer runners failing, laminate lifting, finishes crazing. Make a claim by emailing [email protected] with your invoice number and a photo; we schedule warranty visits within one week. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, alterations by others, flooding or building movement — and it stays with the property if you sell your home, provided the furniture stays too.
Deposits held on stalled projects
If a project stalls on the client side (site not ready, renovation paused), we hold the deposit and completed work for up to six months at no charge. Beyond that, storage is charged at RM150 per month, deducted from the final balance.
